The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on the charge of stealing a scooter.
The investigating officer (IO) Balvir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Karamjit Singh son of Tarsem Singh a resident Mannak Pur village.
Saroj Kumari wife of Pardeep Kumar a resident of Nawan Kila village has complained to the police that the accused had stolen her scoter from civil hospital.
IO said stolen two-wheeler has been recovered from his possession and a case under section 379(theft) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
