The Bilga police have booked a mother-son duo for dowry harassment.
Investigating officer (IO) Satpal said that the accused have been identified as Manpreet Singh a resident of Mohalla Suraj Nagar(north) Moga City and his mother Satya Devi.
Mandeep Lochan wife of Manpreet Singh a resident of Talwann village complained to the police that her husband and mother-in-law harassed her for bringing more and more dowry and mentally torched her.
IO said that a case under sections 406 (breach of Trust) and 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
