The Nurmahal police have arrested two looters on the charge of snatching cash, and foreign currency.
Station House Officer (SHO) Varinder Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Surjit Singh son of Chaman Lal a resident of Pouliyan Kalan village under Rahon police station in Shaheed Bhagat Nagar district and Jagdeesh Singh alias Billa son of Gurmail Singh a resident of Sunnar Kalan village
Amrik Singh son of Parkash Singh Bundala village has complained to the police that two motorcycle-borne accused waylaid him on Pasla -Rurrka Kalan road on April 24 and snatched his purse containing Rs 5000, Canadian $ 800, smartphone, and other important documents on point of sharp-edged weapons and fled away.
SHO said that a case under sections 379-B(snatching) 34(committing a crime with common intention)and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and recovered a snatched smartphone from their possession and further investigations are on.
