The Bilga police have booked two unidentified looters on the charge of looting Rs 51680 from a petrol pump at pistol point.
Ashish Misra a native of UP and presently working at Hamara Petrol Pump Sham Pur village on the Nurmahal-Phillaur Road complained to the police that he was sitting in the pump office with his colleague on May 7 around 8.30 PM when two lovers with covered faces barged into office and threatened them to shoot is do not give them cash collected.
Misra said that he gave them Rs 51680 fearing an immediate threat to his life adding that he could recognize the accused from their speaking tone and appearance who fled towards Nurmahal after loot.
Station House Officer Rajesh Thakur said a police team reached the spot and began an investigation and a case under sections 379 -B(2)(snatching ) 34(committing crime with common intention ) of the Indian Penal Code and sections25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against unidentified accused.
The Nurmahal police also booked two unidentified looters for looting Rs 45000 from the manager of the Ohri Petrol Pump on Nakodar -Phillaur bypass Nurmahal on May 6 said investigating officer Amrik Lal under section 379-B and 34 of the IPC.
It seems that the looter’s gangs are working in coordination under some kind of political patronage. Sham Pur is about four Kilometres away from Nurmahal town and area residents are feeling helpless in this situation.
