NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have arrested a Nakodar resident on charges of theft and criminal breach of trust.
The investigating officer (IO) Mangat Gupta said that the accused has been identified as Daman son of Toni a resident of Rishi Nagar Nakodar.
Nindar a resident of Kamal Pura had complained to the police that Seema Ranni used to open parcels received in his office and fill them with old materials and send them back and Ajay and Daman stole cash amounting to Rs 1,50,000 and a parcel worth Rs 11,500 in his absence.
IO said a case under sections 381(theft by clerk or servant) and 408(criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant) of the IPC was registered against the accused and Seema Ranni daughter of Sukhdev a resident of Nur Pur Chatha village and Ajay son of Ashok Kumar a resident of Purewal colony Nakodar.
