Amritsar: After re-election as President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Harjinder Singh Dhami, today reached SGPC office and held first meeting with the employees of Sikh body and encouraged them to fulfill their responsibilities according to the traditions of organization and the priorities. Addressing the employees at Teja Singh Samundri Hall, the SGPC headquarters, Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the SGPC was established 102 years ago and during its century long journey, the organization managed the Gurdwara Sahibs as per Panthic conduct besides doing big works of community.
 
He said the responsibility of the mukh sewadar (SGPC President) of this proud Sikh body is very big and important, which can be successfully performed only with the cooperation of other Sikh organizations, jathebandis and employees. 
He said that the challenges of the current period are not less and it is our duty to move forward with unity for the progress of the Qaum (community).  
On this occasion, Harjinder Singh Dhami, talking about government intervention in Sikh issues, said that it is time to be very careful. He encouraged the employees of SGPC to do their duty with diligence, honesty and dedication. He said the employees should take the initiative to make great efforts in their respective villages for preaching of Sikh faith. SGPC secretary Partap Singh also addressed during this meeting. Earlier, on his arrival at SGPC office, Harjinder Singh Dhami was warmly welcomed by the SGPC members and officials.
Present on this occasion included SGPC members Gurnam Singh Jassal, Phumman Singh, Baba Buta Singh, Bhai Manjit Singh,  Harjap Singh Sultanwind, Satwinder Singh Tohra, Baba Sukhwinder Singh Agwan, SGPC secretary Partap Singh, OSD Satbir Singh, additional secretary  Paramjit Singh Saroa, Sukhminder Singh, Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Bijai Singh, Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Harjit Singh Lalughumman, Gurmeet Singh Buttar, assistant secretary Harjinder Singh Kaironwal, Gurcharan Singh Kuhala, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Satnam Singh Mangasarai, Sukhraj Singh, in-charge  Shahbaz Singh, superintendent  Malkit Singh Beharwal, and Palwinder Singh.
