- Batala District level primary game started
Nikke Ghuman (Batala): Under the leadership of Education Minister Punjab Harjot Singh Bains in collaboration with District Education Officer Ali: Amarjit Singh Bhatia, District Level Sports of Education Department Ali: Gurdaspur started in the playground of Nikke Ghuman. These games were started by Baba Amrik Singh Nikke Ghumanwale, Baba Taranjit Singh Nikke Ghumanwale, District Education Officer Ali: Amarjit Singh Bhatia and Deputy District Education Officer Ali: Balbir Singh.
Giving information in this regard, D.E.O. Alli: Bhatia informed that district level primary games are being held on 9th, 10th and 11th November at Ghuman Khurd (Nike Ghuman) sports ground, which has been started by Baba Amrik Singh Naik Ghuman Wala. He said that children are being encouraged towards sports under Tandrust Punjab.
On this occasion, Baba Amrik Singh took a walk and Baba Taranjit Singh interacted with the children and the guide teachers and congratulated them.
On this occasion, District Sports Committee in-charge Lakhwinder Singh Shekho informed that on the first day of district level primary sports Kabaddi National Boys/Girls and Circle Style Boys and Kho-Kho (Boys/Girls) wrestling, Karate on the second day, football and on the third day. In athletics, tug of war competitions will be organized and medals and certificates will be given to the winning students. He said that the winning students in district level sports competitions would participate in state level sports competitions.
