The Shahkot police have booked four persons including two women on the charge of assaulting a man.
The Investigating officer (IO) Balkar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Angrej Singh a resident of Talwandi Butiyan village, his wife Jaswindar Kaur, and his daughter, and Bindar a resident of the same village.
Balwindar Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that he was returning home with his wife on October 28 when the accused waylaid and attacked injured and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 323, (voluntarily causing) 341 (wrongful restraint),506(criminal intimidation), and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
