The Nakodar city police have arrested two villagers on the charge of snatching a woman’s gold chain.
The investigating officer (IO) Mandip Singh said that the accused have been identified as Shital Kumar alias Bablu son of Satnam and Kuldip alias Keepa son of Resham residents of Mahun Wal village.
Mamta wife of Ramesh a resident of Chak Muglanni village to the police that she was on going to purchase household items on October 29 when the accused riding a motorcycle snatched her gold chain and fled away.
IO said that a case under section 379-B(snatching) 506(criminal intimidation) and 34 (committing the crime with common intention) of IPC has been registered against the accused and recovered from them snatched chain and impounded a motorcycle used in committing crime.
