No death caused due to dengue in Panchhta at Phagwara: says SMO

Phagwara- Senior Medical Officer Dr Manjit Kumar today categorically said that no death has taken place in Panchtta due to Dengue. 

In a statement issued here today, the Senior Medical Officer said that the probable cause of death of Hardayal Singh (70)  was Multi organ failure. He said that there was no history of fever in this case. He further said that more than 60 samples of suspected people have been taken today from village Panchta. 

He said that the teams of Health department had visited around 600 houses in the village. He said that samples of 60 suspected patients have been taken from the village out of which majority seemed to be seasonal flu and fever symptoms and test results will be confirmed tomorrow. He said that fogging spray was done in 295 rooms of 75 houses in the village today.

Likewise, he said that 778 containers were checked in village. He said that dengue larwa was found in 25 containers. Till today active cases of dengue have not crossed 11 in Panchtta. He further said that the survey will continue in the coming days too and all efforts will be made to trace and treat any case found.
