The Shahkot police have booked three residents on the charge of outraging woman’s modesty.
The investigating officer (IO) Harbhajan Lal said that the accused have been identified as Saurav and Gaurav sons of Naresh Kumar and Niraj Kumar son of Raj Kumar residents of Rishi Nagar Shahkot.
The victim complained to the police the accused assaulted her dragged her by pulling her hair threatened her and used abusive language against her.
IO said that a case under sections 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),323(voluntarily causing hurt) 294(singing, reciting or uttering any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place)506(criminal intimidation) and 34(committing the crime with common intention) has been registered against the accused. No arrested have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
