The Bilga police have booked a villager for illegal sand mining.
The investigating officer Ashwani Kumar said that the accused has been identified as Rajindar Singh a resident of Dhagara village. Junior engineer cum mining officer Naresh Kumar had lodged the complaint.
IO said a case has been registered under Section 21 of the Mines Act and 379(theft) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and impounded tipper of the accused who fled away.
