Phagwara: Phagwara MC Commissioner Dr Nayan Jassal today unequivocally said that the Fire brigade will be updated to tackle any sort of emergency situation.
The Commissioner, who distributed gum shoes to the fire fighting staff here today, said that MC is having ample of funds to meet any requirement of the staff. She said that the primary motive is to equip the fire fighting staff with ultra modren equipments. She said that no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause.
The Commissioner said that she is well aware of the needs of the fire fighting staff and more such steps will be initiated in the coming days. She said that as Phagwara has developed leaps and bounds so the need of hour is to equip the fire fighting staff with later technology. She said that a detailed blueprint in terms of modernisation of the fire fighting is already on cards.
She further said that the Corporation has four fire tenders including two multipurpose tenders and two water tenders to cope up with any sort of mishap. Reiterating the firm commitment of MC Phagwara to serve the people, she said that they are always on their toes to ensure safety of people. The Commissioner said that it is bounden duty of the MC staff to ensure safety and security of people.
