Union Minister welcomes Supreme court suo motu action against the culprits of hate speeches in three states

Kapurthala: Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industries Som Parkash today welcomed the Supreme Court Suo Motu action against the three states UP,Uttarkhand and Delhi to register criminal cases against the culprits of hate speeches without  even waiting for a formal complaint.

Replying to a question of media persons at Rail Coach Factory(RCF) here today on the occasion of giving appointment letters to 46 youths to join centre government departments, The Minister lambasted at three state governments for its failure to check hate speeches which created disharmony in the society and a direct set back to the secular fabric of the country.

It is pertinent to mention here that Supreme court of India  on Friday took a suo motu action against the three states against the hate speeches and ordered  them to register criminal cases against the culprits without even waiting for complaints.

When the attention of the Minister was drawn towards  the UP and Uttrakhand state governments being run by BJP governments , The Minister said it does not matter which party runs the government and it is the prime duty of the state government to check the hate menace.

Replying to another question regarding the insecurity feeling among the minority communities in the country , he said there is no need to feel the fear of insecurity as country has fedral structure and respects all religions and communities being a secular country.

When his attention was drawn towards the rising of radicals raising khalistan slogans in the Punjab and Punjab being a border state faces the problem of arms and ammunition and drugs from cross the border through drones  creating law and order problem, The Minister said law and order is a state subject and it is the sole responsibility of the state government to control it and as far arms and ammunition problem from the cross the border is concerned, the centre agencies are extending all necessary support to curb this menace.

He said party would take action against the former Punjab Minister sunder sham Arora for his alleged involvement in a vigilance case.

However he refused to comment on  the ongoing tussle between the Punjab Governor and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on the appointment of vice chancellor of Punjab Agriculture University by saying both are honourable stalwarts and does not want to comment .

Earlier addressing the function at RCF to hand over appointment letters to 46 youths , he said government was committed to give 10 lakh appointment in the centre government departments.He announced that Bande Bharat express train would soon start from Delhi to Amritsar.

On this occasion a union leader  Brij Mohan of RCF  brought to the notice of the Minister in the presence of media persons regarding the  sub standard material is being used in the manufacturing of coaches. The Minister said he would brought it to the notice of the concerned Railway Minister to look into it.

Sultanpurlodhi MLA Rana Inder Partap Singh and RCF Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer B.M.Aggarwal also spoke on this occasion.
