Kapurthala; Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch “Rozgar Mela”- the recruitment drive for 10 Lakh personnel on October 22 at 11 AM via video conferencing in 50 centers located all over the country. This mega event in Punjab is being held at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala and Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), Patiala. During the ceremony, appointment letters will be handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees. Prime Minister will also address these appointees on the occasion.
This will be a significant step forward fulfilling the continuous commitment of the Prime Minister for providing job opportunities for the youth and ensuring welfare of citizens. As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all the Ministries and Departments are working towards filling up existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in Mission Mode.
During first such “Rozgar Mela” at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala Union Minster of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash will distribute the appointment letters to the appointees from Punjab region and nearby areas. The appointees are being given appointment in various posts of ESIC, Deptt of Post, BSF, Nationalized Banks etc.
These recruitments are being done by Ministries and Departments either by themselves or through recruiting agencies such as UPSC, SSC, Railway Recruitment Board. For expeditious recruitment, selection processes have been simplified and made tech enabled.
