PATIALA: In Patiala's Nabha, DSP Gagandeep Bhullar (34) died of bullet injury under suspicious circumstances at his home on Wednesday. Gagandeep Bhullar posted with the special Operations Group (SOG) in Nabha district
The cause of death is not clear yet. Punjab Police is busy in the investigation. The bullet was fired from a 32 bore personal revolver. Nabha DSP Davinder Attri said that investigation is going on now. Only then can anything be said.
Meanwhile, DSP Gagandeep Bhullar was posted in the Patiala Special Operations Group (SOG) wing. He was a resident of Nabha. Mama Harjit Singh told that Gagandeep was not married yet. He was alone in the house while his mother had gone to Ludhiana. Gagandeep's gunman called him at around 10 o'clock and informed that Saheb had died due to bullet injuries.
“We are investigating the matter further and checking the CCTV footage. The revolver used in the incident is being investigated”, said Harry Boprai, SHO.
Patiala SSP Deepak Pareek said DSP Bhullar was at his house when neighbours heard the sound of a gunshot.
“We are probing the matter,” he added.
Police officials began the probe to ascertain whether it was a case of suicide or accidental fire or murder.
The body was sent to Rajindra Hospital for postmortem examination.
