Jalandhar: youth burnt alive five of his family including wife and children

JALANDHAR: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Jalandhar. A young man burnt alive his mother-in-law, wife and two children to death.

 

Five members of a family, were allegedly burnt to death in Mahitpur, Jalandhar by the stepfather of the kids on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, police said.

According to police, the accused Kuldeep Singh, 30, a daily wager, mixed petrol and diesel and sprayed on the family members before setting them ablaze at Bitlan village under Mehatpur police station in Jalandhar district.

The deceased have been identified as Paramjit Kaur, 28, wife of Kuldeep Singh; Paramjit’s father Surjan Singh, 50; her mother Jogindero, 47; and Paramjit’s children Arashdeep, 8, and Anomol, 5.

The man allegedly committed the crime following a marital dispute and is currently at large, they said.

 

According to the information, the lady of Beethala was married to the youth of Khurshedpur. There was a tussle going on between the two. Because of this, the woman had come to her maternal home. On Monday night her husband came to pick her up. However, later at night while sleeping, he locked the outside of the house and set it on fire by sprinkling petrol, killing his wife, two children and mother-in-law.
