Bajwa rebukes Kejriwal over Delhi Ministers' comparison with Bhagat Singh
Chandigarh: The Leader of Opposition and Senior Congress Leader, Partap Singh Bajwa on Monday rebuked AAP Supremo and Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal for comparing the Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, and Minister, Satyendra Jain with Bhagat Singh. "Delhi CM should tender an unconditional public apology for dishonouring the national hero", demands LoP Bajwa.
In the continuation of this statement he has used a word 'fight for the second freedom struggle' which is undemocratic and highly condemnable especially when it comes from a serving Chief Minister. Bajwa added that what we can expect from a leader of a party which is inherently anarchist.
He said that the Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia was called to participate in an ongoing probe in connection with alleged wrongdoing that took place in excise policy by the CBI. Besides this, the Delhi Minister, Satyendra Jain is in Judicial Custody in a case relating to Money Laundering. "Calling these ministers "today's Bhagat Singh" is like disrespecting the martyr, who sacrificed his life during the freedom struggle. How can these ministers, who are facing investigation in connection with corruption and in Judicial custody, be called Bhagat Singh?", Bajwa asked.
Bajwa said that Arvind Kejriwal is attempting to present himself and his colleagues in the AAP as heroes while Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government in Punjab has failed to take action against the incumbent Cabinet Minister Fauja Singh Sarari, whose audio clip had gone viral, where he was heard fixing a deal to extort money from officials.
Bajwa alleged that Kejriwal thought through his emotional statement he will be able to generate empathy for the duo unknowingly that he is on the verge of demolishing his political career by such shameful remarks. He added that he should be now prepared to face the massive heat from the people across the country, especially Punjab.
LoP said that Delhi's Social Welfare Minister, Rajindra Pal Gautam's resignation from his post after the BJP attacked the minister for participating in an event in which 10,000 people converted to Buddhism shows how much respect Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has for Dr. BR Ambedkar and the Dalit community. "Kejriwal should have shown courage to defend his minister as he hadn't done anything wrong", said Bajwa.
