The Shahkot police have booked a Nakodar resident on the charges of breach of trust and cheating.
The investigating officer (IO) Nirmal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Hanni Kundi son of Sham Lal a resident of Mohalla Sundar Nagar, Nakodar.
Payal Sood daughter of Ashok Kumar a resident of Pati Akal Pur ,Malsian village complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police that the accused duped her of Rs 2.15 Lakhs on the pretext of procuring a job for her in the Punjab National Bank branch.
IO said a case under section 406(breach of trust) and 420(cheating) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. No arrest has been made and further investigation is on.
