The Nurmahal police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit liquor.
The investigating officer Jugraj Singh said 9 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused identified as Bhupindar Singh alias Bhinda a resident of Shamsha Bad village. A case under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act was registered against the accused who was released on bail.
