Phagwara: Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Phagwara Dr Nayan Jassal today felicitated Rajan Eye Care Hospital under the Swachh Sarvekshan campaign in the city.
During a simple but impressive ceremony, MC Commissioner said that the Punjab Government led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is working dedicatedly to give a more environmentally friendly look to the state. She said that the state government has taken it as a mission to create a cleaner and healthier environment in the cities. She further said that the state government is committed to this noble cause.
She said that to make Phagwara clean, green and pollution free is her top priority. She said that the civic body will make whole hearted efforts in these areas as top priority. Handing over certificate for doing exemplary work in waste management to the hospital, she expressed hope that more hospitals will continue the same work.
She said that the civic body’s effort to make the people aware about the need and benefits of a healthy environment Mission can only bear fruit if people support this noble cause. She urged the people to come forward for making this mission a mass movement.
