The Bilga police have booked and arrested a proclaimed offender and booked another on the charges of non-appearing in a court.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Rajindar Singh said that the arrested accused has been identified as Gurjant Singh son of Harbans a resident of Burj Hassan village and booked accused as Gurjit Singh son of Dial Singh a resident of Bute Dian Chhana village under Mehat Pur police station.
SHO said that Phillaur Additional Civil Judge (junior division) and Judicial Magistrate first class Ms.Shilpi Gupta has ordered that the accused have been declared proclaimed offenders in a cases under sections 61/1/ of the Excise Act and should be booked under section 174-A (Non-appearance in response to a proclamation under section 82 of Act 2 of 1974). SHO said cases have been registered against the accused.
