CHANDIGARH: Meeting of CM Bhagwant Mann and CM Manohar Lal Khattar on SYL issue: On the most controversial issue, the first meeting between the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Punjab was held today on SYL Canal, but no agreement could be reached between the two Chief Ministers. Before the meeting, both were adamant on the Chief Minister's statement that there is not even a drop of water.

No consent, we will submit report to Union Minister, then see next meeting: Khattar

After the meeting, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that no consensus could be reached between the two Chief Ministers in the meeting held today. He said that this dispute of SYL has been going on for many years. He said that the court's decision has come in the interest of Haryana. The court has also given time till January 2023 to give suggestions on the issue. Khattar said that we will submit our report to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, after which it will be decided whether to hold the next meeting or not.

Speaking on the SYL issue, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that May had done a lot of homework for several days. Today May has made a very strong and factual case that, sadly, has never been made before.
