The Mehat Pur police have booked a woman on the charge of stealing cash and jewelry from her in-law’s house.
The investigating officer (IO) Sarbann Singh said that the accused has been identified as Baljindar Kaur wife of Navdeep Singh a resident of Ramu Wal village.
Roshan Lal a resident of the same village complained to the police that he was out of his house with family on September 24 when his daughter-in-law stole Rs 50,000, golden and silver jewelry, and smartphones from his house and fled away
IO said that a case under section 380(theft in dwelling house) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused.
