Two travel agents booked for cheating, criminal conspiracy

 

NURMAHAL

The Bilga police have booked two travel agents on the charges of breach of trust, cheating, and criminal conspiracy.

The investigating officer (IO) and Station House Officer Rajindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Jaswindar Kumar son of Fakir Chand a resident of Dara Pur village and Jaspreet Singh alias Sonu son of Kashmir Singh a resident of Friends Colony, Bharat Nagar,New Dehli .

Jaswindar Singh a resident of Mehsam Pur village complained to Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police that he paid Rs 2 lakhs to the accused for facilitating his migration abroad, but he was not sent abroad nor returned his money and thus cheated him.

IO said that a case under sections 406(breach of trust) and 420(cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act has been registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
