NAKODAR
The Nakodar sadar police have booked a villager on the charge of assaulting co-villager.
The investigating officer (IO) and Shankar police post in-charge Sanjiwan Singh said that the accused has been identified as Surjit Singh alias Jiti son of Naranjan Singh a resident of Chania village.
Sunni Kumar a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused attacked him with a knife and seriously injured on October 6.
IO said a case under sections 323 ,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
