The Mehat Pur police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin and intoxicant tablets.
The investigating officer (IO) Bhupindar Singh said that 2 grams of heroin ,250 intoxicant tablets and Rs 24000 drug money was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jaswant Singh alias Santa son of Gurmej Singh a resident of Mohalla Kasba ,Mehat Pur .
IO said that a case under sections21(A)-22/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a motorcycle (PB-08-EN-7280) on which the accused was travelling.
