About 70 children reached the school from the slums

Barnala: A special campaign has been launched in Barnala district under the guidelines of Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare to illuminate the future of children from poor families deprived of education with the light of education.

Under which the children of the slum families of Barnala Anaj Mandi have been admitted to the Government High School Jumla Malkana. 

Today, Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare reached Government High School Jumla Malkan and distributed uniforms, boots, stationery and refreshments to 69 children. 

On this occasion, Meet Hare said that it is his dream that no child should be deprived of education, especially it is very important to give education to economically poor and underprivileged children so that such children can reach a higher position. He said that by conducting a house-to-house survey in the Grain Mandi Barnala area, such children who had never attended schools or had dropped out in the middle of their studies were identified, and their parents were motivated to send their children to school. Special arrangements have also been made to take these children to school and drop them home daily.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Harish Nayar said that the responsibility has been specially assigned to the teachers to know the mental level and education level of these children, on the basis of which they will be admitted in the classes. On this occasion, the student Sejal said that she had to leave school in the fourth standard and she was now at home for a year. Now he has started coming to school again and he likes the atmosphere of the school very much. Nodal Officer and Deputy District Education Officer Vasundhara Kapila said that 8-year-old Ruchi has come to school for the first time and is a very bright child. He said that most of these children have entered school for the first time, while some have started school again. 

 

Additional Deputy Commissioner Paramvir Singh, SDM Gopal Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances) Sukhpal Singh, District Education Officer Sarabjit Singh Toor, Deputy DEO (Elementary) Vasundhara Kapila, other officials and school staff were present on this occasion.
