Woman among six booked for assaulting woman
SHAHKOT
The Shahkot police have booked six persons including two women on the charge of assaulting a woman.
The investigating officer (IO)Balbir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Manjit Kaur wife of Mohindar Singh a resident of Talwandi Butiyan, his sons Gian Chand and Balbir Pal,Viki a resident of Meinwal Araian village, his wife Baljit Kaur and their two unidentified accomplices.
Kulwindar Kaur wife of Charanjit Singh a resident of Talwandi Butiyan complained to the police that the accused assaulted her, her daughter and brother-in-law on September 20 and ransacked the gate of her house.
IO said that a case under sections 323, 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means),427(mischief), and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
