Villager arrested for fraud
NAKODAR
The Mehatpur police have arrested a villager on the charge of cheating and fraud.
The investigating officer (IO) Balwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sukha Singh son of Joga Singh a resident of Bangiwal village.
Balwindar Singh a resident of the same village has complained to the Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) that the accused prepared fake documents and sold his tractor Swaraj 855.
IO said that the economic wing investigated the complaint and submitted a report to SSP who ordered the registration of a case adding that a case under sections 420(cheating),465,467,468, and 471(fraud) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
