CHANDIGARH: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in his radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday that the name of Chandigarh airport will now be Shaheed Bhagat Singh Airport.
He said, "A special day of Amrit Mahotsav is coming on September 28. On this day we will celebrate the birthday of Bhagat Singh ji, the brave son of Mother India. Just before the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh ji, an important decision has been taken as a tribute to him. It has been decided that the Chandigarh airport will now be named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji."
