  • YS School girls champion in the under-14 category

 


Barnala-Under the 'Khan Watan Punjab Ki' initiated by the Punjab Sports Department, the district-level netball competition started at the sports ground of SD College Barnala. 

 

Under the supervision of the convenor of the competition, Prof. Balwinder Kumar Sharma, these competitions were inaugurated by international netball players, sub-inspector Gurmail Singh and inspector Rajpal Singh. He lauded the initiative of Chief Minister Mr Bhagwant Mann and Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare for organizing this Games Mahakumbha and wished the athletes participating in the competitions. Under-14, under-17 and 21 to 40 year age group boys and girls competitions are being conducted in these competitions. The first two days of the 5-day competitions are being conducted for girls. Girls' competitions are being conducted on the first two days of the 5-day competition. In the under-14 category, the girls of YS School won all their matches and secured the first position.

GGS Word School secured the second position and Greenfield School secured the third position. On this occasion, Avtar Singh, Sukhpal Singh, Balwinder Singh, Baljinder Singh (all Punjab Police), Prof. Balwinder Kumar Sharma, Rashpinder Singh Babla, Gurlal Singh, Gagandeep Singla, Arvind Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Lalit Sharma, Jasveer Singh, Deen Muhammad, Dr Tapan Sahu, Dr Rama Sharma, Dr Vijay Kumar, Prof Rakesh Garg, Mr Kashmir SinghA large number of teachers and students including Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Manjit Singh were present.
