Kapurthala: With the initiative of Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Vishesh Sarganal to encourage sports activities to mark the “Khedan wattan Punjab Diyan 2022” today DC XI beats SDM XI with 44 runs at NJSA Government college kapurthala.
During the match, which was organised with the support of District Cricket Association both the teams led by Deputy commissioner Sarangal and SDM Kapurthala Lal Bishwas Bains shows great sportsmanship.
In the match of 15-15 overs, Deputy Commissioner XI scored 124 runs in 14.5 overs, in which Jassi contributed 35 runs , followed by 23 runs of Sajan.
Deputy Commissioner While leading his team to victory with captaincy also demonstrated his sports ability by playing beautiful shots while batting as well as bowling .
For SDM XI, Sunil Kumar bags 5 wickets by only consuming 11 runs and Karan Kanda got 4 wickets for 35 runs.
While chasing the target of 125 runs , SDM XI got a bad start as bowlers of the DC XI did not allow the batsmen to score easy runs with accurate line and length in bowling .
SDM XI lost their wickets at regular intervals which brings the team to under pressure. Only Sandeep contributed 36 runs from SDM XI as the whole team outplayed for only 80 runs.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner congratulated the players of both the teams and said that the district administration was all set to encourage the sports activities in the district .
SDM Kapurthala Lal Viswash Bains, SDM. Jalandhar Dr. Jai Inder Singh, expressed great sportsmanship during the match.
On this occasion, District Cricket Association President Krishan Lal , officials and employees were also present.
