COMMISSIONERATE POLICE CRACK JEWELLERY SHOP LOOT CASE



ARREST FOUR INCLUDING FOOD DELIVERY EXECUTIVE AND SEIZE ROBBED JEWELLERY, WEAPON, CARTRIDGES AND CAR

LUDHIANA, November 21: With the arrest of four persons including a food delivery executive, the Commissionerate police cracked the robbery committed at Satguru Jewellers, Hambran road on October 19 this year.

The arrested accused persons were identified as Manjinder Singh (19) of Manewal village, Gurpreet Singh (19), Jagdish Singh (23) of Burj Pawat village in Ludhiana and Ashish Aggarwal (25) of Galla Kothar Mohalla, Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

Manjinder Singh was working as food delivery executive. One of accomplice Makhan Singh of Burj Pawat village was absconding in the case.
Disclosing further details, Commissioner of Police (CP) Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that Manjinder was key conspirator of the robbery as he used to keep eye on the Satguru Jewellers while delivering food orders in the same locality. CP said Manjinder had found that only an elderly man used to sit in the night hours at the shop and hatched the conspiracy with other accused persons.


He said on October 19, Manjinder along with Gurpreet and Makhan reached at the shop on bike (PB10-DC-5612) around 9 pm and looted gold, silver ornaments and cash from the shop by taking its owner on gunpoint.

CP added on being getting information about the crime, teams of PAU Police station and CIA Staff-1 formed to nab the robbers and the cops arrested three accused involved in the crime following the investigation carried out in professional manner on November 19 from Hiran village, Chandigarh road when they were moving to Ludhiana in the car bearing fake registration number (PB10-CE-6789).


The cops also recovered .32 bore pistol, six live cartridges,  toy pistol, sharp weapon, car, bike used in the crime, looted ornaments and others, Bhullar said and added Ashish had supplied weapon to them and was nabbed on November 20
