The wife of the victim had allegedly been running illicit relations with the Fuffad of the victim, who had allegedly conspired to eliminate Lakhvir Singh, a resident of Giddarbaha.

Bathinda police have claimed to have solved the murder case of one Lakhbir Singh, a resident of Giddarbaha, who was killed in a road accident under mysterious circumstances on March 9.
His dead body and scooty were found on Bathinda-Malout road near a cement factory on March 9.
The police had registered a case on the complaint of Amritpal Singh son of Amarjeet Singh, the brother of the deceased on March 9 under section 304A(culpable homicide) besides 279 of IPC against the unidentified persons.
The culprits had tried to pass off the murder as an accident but the police were suspicious about it from day one.
The dead body was crushed under the truck trailer and hit on head with an iron road, it was found.
Now the police have claimed to have solved the case by arresting Jaswinder Singh alias Kala, a resident of Guru Gobind Singh Nagar Bathinda.
Jaswinder Singh is the real Fufad( husband of the sister of the father of the victim), who had allegedly conspired to kill Lakhvir Singh with his relatives or acquaintances, the police said.
"The main accused is the Fufad of the victim Lakhvir Singh. He had got the victim married as a mediator. The victim for long believed that Jaswinder Singh had an illicit relationship with his wife and on this issue, they had heated arguments many times before. Now Jaswinder wanted to remove Lakhvir Singh from his way and he conspired with his relatives to murder Lakhvir Singh and pass off as a road accident," reads the press note by DPRO Bathinda,on behalf of Gulneet Singh Khurana,SSP Bathinda.
"The police were suspicious about the accidental death of the victim and had formed a special team to investigate the matter.Now the police have arrested the three accused Kaswinder Singh alias Kala,Jatinder Singh alias Jindu, of Doda and Rupinder Singh alias Pinda from village Harike Kalan," the SSP said in press note.
"The three conspired to kill Lakhbir, called him to the spot of murder, hit him on the head with an iron rod, then crushed him under the truck trailer.The three have been arrested and Ghora(truck trailer) and the other objects used in the murder have been recovered," the SSP said.
The accused had also taken away the cell phone of the victim after his murder.
Now the police have added sections 302(murder) and 120 B of IPC to the FIR after the arrest of the three accused.
