The Mehat Pur police have arrested two thieves on charges of stealing cash and jewellery from a house
Investigating Officer (IO) Amrik Lal said the accused have been identified as Sandip Singh alias Motta son of Indarjit Singh a resident of Mohalla Shahpur Mehet Pur and Baljindar Singh alias Viki son of Jaswindar Singh a resident of Ismail Pur village
Ajai Jujhar Singh, a resident of Mohalla Choparra, Mehat Pur complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on August 12and stole Rs 1 lakh , 100 Canadian $ and gold jewellery.
Investigating Officer said that a case under sections 331(3) (lurking house trespass) and 305(theft in dwelling house) of the BNS has been registered against the accused
