Three Haryana miscreants booked for cheating   Nakodar palmist of Rs 66,000

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar city police have booked three Haryana miscreants on the charge of dishonest misappropriation of property, cheating, and criminal conspiracy

The Station House Officer (SHO) Labh Singh said that the accused have been identified as Jishad son of Najjar a resident of Mewat district Haryana, his brother Azuddin and Saif Ali Khan a resident of Manesar in Gurgaon district Haryana.

Dinesh Kumar a resident of Guru Arjan Dev Nagar Nakodar complained to Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) that he is a palmist and had received a phone call in April 2021 from one Sahil Kumar who asked a solution to his family problem and told him to deposit fee online and he gave his mobile number to the accused for PAYTM and when he opened to link the accused withdrew Rs 66000 for his ICICI bank account and cheated him.

SSP asked cybercrime cell for investigation which submitted its report.

SHO said a case under sections 403(dishonestly misappropriating or converting to his own use any movable property),420(cheating), and 120-B(criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and section 66(d) of the Information Technology Act 2000 has been registered against the accused and Inspector Jit Singh is further investigating the matter.
