The Nurmahal police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling poppy husk.
The investigating officer (IO) Paramjit Singh said that 5 kilograms of poppy husk were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Tarsem Lal alias Sema son of Sardara a resident of Cheema Kalan village.
IO said that a case under section 15 (b) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
The Mehat Pur police also arrested a drug peddler Daler Singh alias Dalari son of Surjit Singh a resident of Dharme Dian Chhana village in a case registered in July under section 21-B//61/85 of the NDPS Act
