NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have booked three members of a family on charges of attempt to murder and rioting.
The investigating officer (IO) Rajindar Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Baba Khucharr alias Som Nath a resident of Arjan Nagar, Nakodar, his son Kalu and brother Vijay.
Navjot a resident of the same locality complained to the police that the accused attacked and seriously injured him on October 20 when he tried to save his friend from their anger.
IO said a case under sections 307(attempt to murder), 323,324 and 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) , and 148 and 149 (rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
