Faridkot: In a joint operation by the Faridkot, CI Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur police, the Punjab police have arrested 2 shooters wanted in the murder of Dera follower Pardeep Singh Raju, a resident of Kotkapura who was shot dead on November 10.
This information has been provided by DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav in a tweet this afternoon.
“In the targeted killing of Pardeep Singh on November 10, a resident of Hari Naon road Kotkapura, the counter intelligence Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Faridkot police have arrested two shooters Manpreet Mani and Bhupinder Singh Goldy from some place in Hoshiarpur. Both the accused were absconding since the killing of the Dera follower took place,” it has been learnt.
Both the arrested and accused in the murder of Pardeep are residents of Faridkot town and have also allegedly did Recee of the victim.
There were 6 shooters on the crime scene whose photos had been captured in the CCTV footage.
The three shooters, allegedly belonging to Haryana, had already been arrested by the special cell of Delhi police.
Baljeet Singh Manna has also been arrested by the police. Baljeet had allegedly provided logistic support to the three Haryana based shooters.
The whole information regarding the case has been updated by DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav by two tweets in the afternoon.
Canada based Goldy Brar has been allegedly a mastermind in the case who had taken the responsibility of the murder of the Dera follower.
Pardeep was one of the seven accused in the sacrilege case and was on bail.
