Shiv Sena leader booked for sacrilege in Gurdaspur
Faridkot: After the alleged pressure from the Sikh religious bodies, Gurdaspur police have registered a case against Harvinder Singh Soni for sacrilege and hurting religious sentiments of the Sikh community yesterday.
Soni, though had apologized to the Sikh community, but Sikh leaders like Bhai Amritpal Singh had demanded a registration of a case against him.
Amritpal Singh had told the media that it was not the way that if one speaks against the community and spreads hate and then seeks apology for being spared.
Shiv Sena had also expelled him from the organization.

 

The police have booked Soni on November 16 under sections 295-A/504/505 IPC PS City Gurdaspur on the complaint of Lovepreet Singh who had stated that the accused Harwinder Singh Soni (Shiv Sena Pardhan Gurdaspur) r/o Gurdaspur used objectionable words against Sikh community, said them terrorist and said about attack on Sri Harminder Sahib which hurts the sentiments of Sikh community. No arrest so far.
