The Nurmahal police have arrested one villager and booked another on the charge of snatching a woman’s mobile phone.
The investigating officer (IO) Sanjiv Kumar said that the accused had been identified as Santokh Singh Dosanjh son of Kartar Singh a resident of Bundala village.
Jai Mata Devi a Bihar state native residing near a private school complained to the police that the accused snatched her mobile phone at Y-Point, Nurmahal- Nakodar road.
IO said that a case under section 379-B(snatching) of IPC has been registered against the accused and Namit Kumar son of Balvir Chand a resident of Pandori Rajputan village under Nakodar sadar police station who is abscond.
