The Lohian Khas police have arrested five drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin, intoxicant powder and tablets.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Surjit Singh Padda said that 4 grams of heroin. 150 intoxicant tablets and 10 grams of intoxicant powder and Rs 11000 drug money were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Sulakhan Singh son of Joga Singh a resident of Makhi village, Amarbir Singh alias Ashna son of Balwindar Singh and Jatindar Singh alias Jeetu son of Avtar Singh residents of Kakarr Kalan village ,Gurnam Singh alias Raja son of Gurdip Singh a resident of Shahjahan Pur village and Gurpreet Singh alias Gora son of Gindar Singh resident of Lattian Wal village in Kapurthala .
IO said that a case under sections21/22/61/85 of theNDPS Act has been registered against the accused andimpounded two wheelers on which they were travelling with the contraband.
