Punjab Police siege against drug peddlers led by DGP in Ludhiana, search operation in Amritsar

LUDHIANA/AMRITSAR: Punjab Police launched a search operation in Ludhiana and Amritsar on Tuesday. Under the leadership of DGP Gaurav Yadav, a search operation against drugs peddlers was conducted in Ambedkar Nagar area of ​​Ghoda Colony, Ludhiana on Tuesday morning. Newly appointed Police Commissioner Mandeep Singh Sidhu was also present. Every house in Ambedkarnagar was searched by the police by siege the entire area.

Amritsar: Search operation launched in Annagarh and Maqboolpura

Amritsar Commissionerate Police on Tuesday launched a search operation against the gangsters in Annagarh and Maqboolpura areas. The campaign was led by Police Commissioner Jaskaran Singh himself. Apart from the police teams, anti gangster staff and CIA teams also participated.

 

Information was received from reliable sources that some tenants are living without verification, while some have given the flats on rent in their own names. The police teams also verified the tenants residing in the rented house during the search operation. The Maqboolpura quarters were cordoned off and a thorough search operation was conducted. As part of the ongoing action against anti-social elements, Police Commissioner Jaskaran Singh has said that such campaigns will be continued in future also. This search operation continued till noon and the CP would give information later regarding the weapons and other items found during this period.
