The Mehat Pur police have booked three unidentified persons on the charges of killing a 30-year-old youth.
Raj Ranni wife Jeet Singh a resident of Vehran village complained to the police that his son Gurmit Singh alias Miti (30) left house on November 10 at 7 PM by saying that he is going to playground for volleyball game but did not return home.
She said that his elder son Jatindar Singh on November 11 morning went to our fields situated in Chhohle village and found his brother Gurmit Singh lying in an upside-down position in a passage of a field and when he was turned in an upward position, he was dead.
She said that she along with her family reached on the spot after receiving news of the death of his son and found signs of wounds on his face and blood and there were signs of wound on his son’s chest.
She said that some unidentified persons have beaten his son which resulted in his death.
The investigating officer Harwindar Singh said that a case under sections 304(culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against unidentified accused and further investigations are on.
