Axis bank theft: six members of thieves’ gang identified

The Nurmahal police have identified six members of a thieves gang involved in a theft incident in a bank here.

The investigating officer (IO) Sanjiv Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Sodhi and Jaswindar residents of Lohian Khas town and Kailash Bind son of Punit Bind, Mukesh Bind son of Bahadar Bind Raja Nand son of Rajindar Bind and Raju all residents of Bihar state.

IO said the accused have been identified during the interrogation of its ringleader Rannjt Kumar son of Sarjug a resident of the Bhagal Pur district of Bihar.

 The police had booked unidentified thieves on the charge of stealing cash from the Axis bank branch.

Cheema Kalan bank branch manager Vivek Bhargav had complained to the police that a theft incident happened at the Axis Bank branch on September 11 approximately at 12.30 A.M. He said had said in his complaint that it was noticed on September 12 at 9 A.M when the branch was opened and Rs 11,65,680 was missing which were stolen.

 

IO said a case under sections 457(lurking house-trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC was registered against the unidentified accused and further investigations are on.
