The Mehat Pur police have booked three persons on charges of assault, house trespass, and mischief.
The investigating officer (IO) Balwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Manjindar Singh alias Bahman and Soni sons of Baldish residents of Bath Kalan village and Baljit Singh alias Bablu son of Mohan Singh a resident of Rangarra village.
Prem Lata wife of Som Nath a resident of Bath Kalan village complained to the police that the accused barged into her house assaulted and threatened her and decamped away with jewellery.
IO said a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt),380(theft in dwelling house),458(lurking house-trespass by night, or house-breaking by night, having made preparation for causing hurt to any person or for assaulting any person, or for wrongfully restraining any person, or for putting any person in fear of hurt, or of assault, or of wrongful restraint) and 34 (committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
