The Bilga police have booked six persons on the charge of assaulting a villager.
The investigating officer (IO) Anwar Masih said that the accused have been identified as Akash Deep Singh, Arsh Deep Singh, and Major Singh residents of Umar Puri village and their three unidentified accomplices.
Sukhwant Singh a resident of Umar Pur Kalan village complained to the police that the accused attacked him with sharp edged weapons and seriously injured him and threated him.
IO said that a case under sections 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with weapons) 506 (criminal intimidation) 148 and 149(rioting of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
In another case the police booked fifteen persons for assaulting Manjindar Singh of Talwan village said IO Buta Ram.
