The Nurmahal police have booked an unidentified driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.
Simranjit Singh a resident of Bau Pur Khurd village under Shahkot police station complained to the police that the accused was driving his car (PB-47-C-5713) fast and rashly and hit his motor cycle on October 25 near Mandi Chowk, Nurmahal on the Phillaur –Nakodar road injuring him and his relative Lovepreet Singh who succumbed to his injuries in a Jalandhar clinic.
The Investigating Officer Kulwindar said that a case under section 304-A (causing death by negligence) 279(rash driving on a public way) 337,338(act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC has been registered against unidentified driver.
