The Mehat Pur police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin and poppy husk.
The investigating officer (IO) Bhupindar Singh said that 60 grams of heroin and 5 kilograms poppy husk were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Hardeep Singh alias Happy son of Makhan Singh a resident of Dharme Dian Chhana village and Lakhwindar Singh son of Buta Singh a resident of Gounsu Wal Tibba village.
IO said that a case under section 21(B) 15(B) /61/85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused and their motorcycles on which they were travelling with the contraband were impounded.
